To keep off the fall chill a fireplace is a great addition to any room.
Crisp fall days are perfect for a walk in the woods to enjoy God’s beautiful landscape.
I live in Ohio and Autumn is my favorite time of year. It is a short season and gone before you know it. Football games, tailgating, roasting marsh mellows and hot dogs over a campfire. The crisp air and hot mulled cider. Hayrides and walks in the woods are some of my favorite things to do on a fall day.
Decorating for fall is another thing that I like to do. Inside this fall centerpiece is perfect for your fall table. Pumpkins and bales of straw are a must have in Northwest Ohio.
This fall dessert would warm up any meal on a fall day! Add hot coffee and hot chocolate with marsh mellow cream for a yummy treat.
Time to get your fall and winter clothes out. Add a warm soft scarf for a new look. Go through your clothes and take out the things that you haven’t worn in the last year and donate them to a charity.
Gather pretty and unusual leaves and make a leaf covered frame with your children or grandchildren. They will enjoy the time that you spend with them.
Go to a U Pick Orchard and pick apples. We did this when we were first married and picked 3 bushels of Red Delicious apples. Little did I know that they are not a cooking apple. So be aware of the apples that you get. Cortland and Jonathan are good cooking apples.
Gather pine cones and roll them in peanut butter and bird seed. Put a wire around them so you can hang them up outside for the birds this winter.
Gather vegetables from your garden or go to a farmer’s market and get tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, onions and a can of beef and 1 large container of beef broth and make vegetable soup for a cozy fall meal.
Finish with your fall decor and enjoy!Warm and Cozy
